Understanding Creation

It has been 3 years since Seed published the article called Not in Kansas Anymore on Turkey, yet things in Turkey are not that different -if not worse- when it comes to anti-evolution acts these days. Current pro-islam government and indescribably annoying prime minister Erdogan with his uneducated acts feeds the creationism linked nationalism very well. On the other hand, things did change a lot since 2002, and not the type of change(s) you'd like to see in a half-middle eastern country. Soner Cagaptay's essay called The Islamists Show Their Hand hits directly to the point and explains what I struggle to say very well.

Therefore, as a scientist and a semi-academician (whatever that means) I wanted to take my side for good (see: Turks fighting back against anti-evolution forces ) and do something for this drift.

If you read the cited Nature article above, you will also read a brief review on the happenings by our side; one of which is to translate the English material (such as this) to simple and easily understandable Turkish. It will be hard to fight against Harun Yahya's free, first class paper handouts but "great minds" think alike and that's what the target is. I will keep you posted on how this group is doing. We have to do something on the mindless attacks of ignorance to science.
